Fashion week!

I MADE IT!!!

I actually managed to attend fashion week in February, never would I miss this especially since I missed LCM in January.

The only problem was that with a week left for fashion week I completely forgot, and hadn’t planned any outfits, but I quickly realised that the outfit I wore didn’t matter, I was there to hang out with friends and make new ones.

The first day I went very simple (all black), at first I was quite nervous but I quickly got into the flow of things and started to bump into people I knew from the previous year.

For the first time ever I managed to get into shows!! I actually managed to do at least one/two shows a day in fact; I honestly still can’t believe it.

Day two was the day of the #Skwad, since it was Saturday this was by far the busiest day and probably the most fun! It was nice to just be surrounded by creative people, who love fashion and to play around with clothing it was truly inspiring.

The third day I done all black (again!), it was a quieter day compared to Saturday but it was still nice as some people still came over just to say hi and hit a few shows.

Monday was like the deadest day! Haha you could slowly see the crowds dwindling down, for most part of the day I just wandered around, once it hit around 4pm it got busier and more people showed up.

Tuesday was by far the most pointless day, and this point no-one was there and in fact me and my friend need up going to a gallery and just had a regular day out!

Wonderland…

Hey boo!

So this past week I discovered the Wonderland Shop that they have in London (for those of you who don’t know Wonderland is a fashion magazine).

From the outside it looked like a mermaid “wonderland” and that’s why it caught my eye, once we got inside it had a very cool laid back vibe and every inch of that place is just aesthetically pleasing, from magazine covered changing rooms, to photography studio lights on the white walls.

And obviously you can’t go to a store like that without leaving with something and I am the last person to come up with an excuse why not to spend money or to turn down a fashion magazine… EVER!!!

I’m keeping my looks very stripped back and keeping them to their bare essentials, this look is very simple but with the addition of the jewelry and of course the hair, it gives you a little something to look at, this is a simple yet striking look, proving that you don’t always have to do the most!

Monochromatic simplicity…

So I recently cut my hair! In a slightly different way than I’m used to, I’m enjoying being a bit more daring and it has given me a new sort of confidence, I feel more comfortable making big decisions and being ambitious, its funny how much power a little hair cut can have!

Since I’ve been focused on my Instagram and making sure its looking right, I’ve extended that to myself (hence the haircut) I’ve decided that no matter what you won’t find me half way dressed or ill represented, I want to treat each individual day like its fashion week! I slay all day err day!

This is quite a simple one but I feel with the new hair less definitely is more, even though I’m literally only wearing one color (black), the outfit is well put together and I look sharp yet comfortable and casual!

Re-starting the monochrome theme…

Hey guys!

I know it’s been a while but I am planning on getting back to this blog on a weekly basis!! I have recently learnt (once more) that I really can’t handle not having things to do, and I only work well when working under pressure or when I’m doing 3 projects at once!

So even though this may sound a bit mundane I have started to focus on my Instagram again! With fashion week coming up in less than a month I really need to make sure it accurately represents me as a person and honestly it was looking neglected and messy!

So the easiest way to clean your feed up and organize it is to strip it back! I try to have some pictures that are close up and others that are more distant and have more empty space in them, but the most important factor is that they all follow the same color scheme.

Every picture I post has an element of black or white, the reason for doing this is because no matter what I post as long as I have at least one of the colors in the picture, it will match the rest, because the worst thing is when you take amazing pictures but when you add it to your feed it looks messy and not as great!

Here are a few examples of what I’ve posted!!

LCM…

So unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to go to London Fashion Week Men’s like I planned but a lot of my friends did get to go.

Even though I didn’t get to see the amazing outfits in person I did get to see them hours later once the pictures were being uploaded onto social media, you could tell from the pictures that the men’s collection are a lot more laid back and calm, not like women where everyone is running around crazy, trying to get a picture.

The guys wore outfits that were well put together with small elements that popped, whereas women usually go above and beyond, wearing large pink furs, stripped bags and making sure that they stand out from the crowd.

The general “theme” for the men was casual sophistication, many dressed in casual suits and others embraced more of a street wear look.

Overall it looked classy af, and it sucks that I didn’t have the opportunity to see it all in person and experience the vibe for myself. Hopefully I can make it next time!

Looking forward to my first mens fashion week!

I’ve now been to about 2 fashion weeks and they have both been the September Women’s collections, I’ve never attended a fashion week outside of this season and I’ve never been to LFWM, I’ve been wanting to go to one for a while to see how it differs from the women’s!

I have a feeling it might be a bit more low key and “serious” but since this is my first time I’m not going to stress myself out with trying to find the perfect suit, ill just go as I am just to see how it is and to meet people!

It is also good for me to go because I am a male fashion blogger so it doesn’t make sense that I’ve never been to London Fashion Week Men’s

Hopefully over time people will start recognise me and I can start to wear my own pieces to these events!

Hope to see you there!!

So obviously I went to fashion week in September!! But I only went for two days (Saturday & Sunday) but it was suuuppperrr fun! Met a lot of amazing people and got to just slay the day away for the weekend.

For the first day I decided to keep it quite monochrome and simple, but I still wanted to make a statement so I wore a mesh white top and a wide brimmed fedora, just to tszuj things up a bit.

For the second day I wanted to dial it back since the first day was quite a strong “I have arrived” look I wanted to soften it and do light colours to contrast the previous day!

So I decided to just wear some distressed jeans, a white t-shirt and this denim jacket that me and my friend personalised (she done the embroidery) it was something really chill, but once people noticed the back of the jacket they loved it!

Overall it was a fun experience and I’m very happy that I went, I am hoping I can visit them with more frequency and make some more fashion friends!!
